Martin R. Prince, MD, PhD is Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He directs an active clinical and research program in cardiovascular and body magnetic imaging and magnetic resonance angiography. Dr. Prince graduated from Harvard Medical School and obtained a PhD in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed an internship at the University of California at San Francisco and a radiology residency, as well as fellowships in angiography and magnetic resonance imaging, at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Prince has been a pioneer in developing cardiovascular MR and MR angiography with more than 180 publications, 6 books, and 40 patents describing his many contributions. He directs the Magnetic Resonance Angiography Core Laboratory of the NIH CORAL renal artery stenosis trial and has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Gold Medal from the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine for developing peripheral MR angiography. He is also the President of the International Magnetic Resonance Angiography Club and "Fellow" of the American College of Radiology. His major interests are cardiovascular and abdominal MRI and MRA.
