Neil M. Rofsky, MD is the Professor and Chairman of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Co-director of Advanced Imaging Research Center, Dallas, TX. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. After receiving his BS in biochemistry from the University of Maryland at College Park, Dr. Rofsky earned his medical doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He then completed an internship in internal medicine at Middlesex University Hospital; a residency in radiology at the New York University Medical Center; and fellowships in nuclear medicine at the University of Utah Medical Center and abdominal imaging and magnetic resonance imaging at New York University Medical Center.
Dr. Rofsky has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and was one of the earliest investigators bringing contrast-enhanced MRA into clinical practice. He is currently the principal investigator for the "Characterization of Prostate Cancer with 3T MR" study, investigating highresolution, dynamic 3D MRI, MRS, and T2 weighted imaging at 3T for determining tumor volume, tumor stage, and tumor grade using whole mount histopathology as the reference standard for comparison.
